USC Good Neighbors exists to enhance the quality of life in the neighborhoods surrounding the University Park and Health Sciences campuses. Gifts from USC faculty, staff and other donors through the annual USC Good Neighbors Campaign are the primary source of funding.
USC Good Neighbors considers grant applications from USC employees, academic units and other university departments working in partnership with community-based, tax-exempt organizations located and operating in the neighborhoods surrounding the University Park and Health Sciences campuses. Applying for USC Good Neighbors grants is a competitive process, and not all proposals can be funded, including continuation applications for programs that have received funding in the past.
Since issuing its first request for proposals in January 1995, USC Good Neighbors has funded more than 551 programs totaling $16 million with annual program budgets ranging from $3,000 to $81,600.

Gifts from USC faculty, staff, and other donors through the annual USC Good Neighbors Campaign are the primary source of funding.
USC Good Neighbors considers grant applications from USC employees, academic units, recognized student groups, and other university departments working in partnership with community-based, tax-exempt organizations operating in the neighborhoods surrounding the University Park and Health Sciences campuses. Proposed programs must incorporate established university-community partnerships and support USC's university-community initiatives. Programs that serve the local communities surrounding the university's University Park and Health Sciences campuses are eligible. Applying for a USC Good Neighbors grant is a competitive process, and unfortunately, not all proposals can be funded, including returning applications for programs that have previously received funding.
Please take the time to carefully review all advisories and instructions indicated throughout the application process to ensure proper completion of your proposal. Due to the volume of applications received, incomplete or late applications will not be considered. There are no exceptions.
Since issuing its first request for proposals in January 1995, USC Good Neighbors has raised more than $30 million to fund over 1,100 programs. The average grant request is $25,000.
