The Mission of the Stone Canyon Community Foundation (SCCF) is to support organizations whose endeavors help achieve educational success and positively impact the quality of life and development of “youth in need “in Oro Valley and the greater Tucson, Arizona area.
The Stone Canyon Community Foundation was officially launched in October 2008 following many informal discussions about how Stone Canyon members and residents could make a difference for youth in need in the Oro Valley and Tucson communities.
Since that launch date, the Stone Canyon Community Foundation has given almost $2 Million dollars in grants to various charities here. You can find a history of our grants, instructions for how to apply for them, how to donate to the Foundation, who our leadership is, and look at our past and future activities on this website.
The Foundation is jointly supported by the members and residents of Stone Canyon and the Stone Canyon Club and is a donor-advised fund of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona.
Only 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organizations serving the Oro Valley and greater Tucson area communities are eligible.
Proposals for grants are considered on the basis of supporting the Stone Canyon Community Foundation (SCCF) Mission and its Fundamental Strategies which state that the Foundation’s primary focus is on “programs that help young people get and stay on track, taking advantage of educational and other opportunities for their own self-improvement and development.”
